Introduction
There is so much more to KAS Technologies Group than you might think ! The Group comprises of Oxford Engineering, Hutton Engineering (Bicester and Abingdon locations) all based in Oxfordshire, UK and Oxford Engineering Eesti in Tartu, Estonia. A significant stake has been taken into newly formed Scientific Manufacturing Solution in Swindon to help develop this successful start-up which already boast 12 employees. Karim Sekkat, Chairman of the Group holds an impressive portfolio which includes “Oxfordshire Business Person of the Year 2005 runner-up award, Oxfordshire Business Person of the Year 2007 finalist award and the National Business Awards Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 & 2007 finalist awards. Karim said “the Group holds over 50 years of engineering experience and is one of the top 10 UK contract manufacturers. We specialise in lean manufacturing, supply chain management and precision engineering to offer total manufacturing solutions to high technology markets”.
The privately owned group prides itself in building long term relationships with high profile customers from the medical, oil and gas, aerospace, semi-conductor, F1, nuclear, cryogenic, communications and pharmaceutical industries. At its state of the art facilities in Abingdon, Bicester and Estonia, the Group offers a total manufacturing solution, from CAD design through to managing the supply chain.
Mission
With around 150 employees, the Group’s mission is to be “An engineering group worthy of high regard” (Timothy Forster’s, ‘101 Great Mission Statements’ – How the worlds leading companies run their businesses). It has the ability and the experience to provide cost competitive, lean, low risk manufacturing solutions to a wide variety of demanding industry needs.
The key to the company’ s success is customer focus, with 90% of business resulting in repeat work from clients, many of whom have trusted the Group as a single source for over 25 years.
